The Critical Raw Materials Act (Reg. (EU) 2024/1252) sets 2030 targets: 10% extraction, 40% processing and 25% recycling of the EU’s annual demand for strategic raw materials, and at most 65% of supply from a single third country. Non-ferrous metals recycling is central to these targets.
