SENT: no notifications for 19 metal waste codes from 28 October
A regulation of the Minister of Finance and Economy (Dz.U. 2026, item 1325) exempts from SENT notifications the transport of metal waste – including copper, aluminium, lead, zinc and tin – subject to the rules on shipments of waste.
From 28 October 2026, the transport of waste identified by 19 codes from the waste catalogue – non-ferrous and ferrous metals, their mixtures and metallic packaging – no longer requires a SENT notification on the grounds that the waste is subject to the rules on shipments of waste. The notice published on PUESC describes the change as deregulatory.

What changes
Until 27.10.2026
Transport of waste subject to the EU rules on shipments of waste – Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006, replaced by Regulation (EU) 2024/1157 – requires a SENT notification regardless of the quantity in the consignment (§ 1(7)(a)).
From 28.10.2026
The obligation no longer covers waste identified by 19 codes from the waste catalogue – metal waste, including copper, bronze and brass (17 04 01), aluminium, lead, zinc and tin. The new point (d) joins the existing exemptions: transports carried out under Art. 5 of the Act, goods under the transit procedure and consignments of up to 20 kg destined for recovery.
