About the company

IQ Recycling Sp. z o.o. Sp. k., headquartered in Pruszcz Gdański (ul. Zastawna 32), is a waste management company registered in the Polish National Court Register under KRS 0000711973; its principal activity is the wholesale of waste and scrap. The limited partnership was formed in 2018 by transforming the civil-law partnership IQ Recycling, and its general partner is IQ Recycling Sp. z o.o. The company cites more than 10 years of experience in waste management and cooperation with around 1,500 businesses across Poland – from car workshops and service centres to manufacturing plants.

The company collects, transports, gathers and processes metal-bearing waste: cables and wires, used beverage cans (UBC), exhaust catalysts, waste electrical and electronic equipment and lead-acid batteries; it also buys non-ferrous scrap – copper, brass, bronze, aluminium and lead – as well as steel, including stainless steel. Cables are processed on a dedicated line where, after shredding, plastics, metals and contaminants are separated to obtain granules and clean copper and aluminium fractions without burning off the insulation; cans are cleaned, sorted and shredded before remelting. The company runs its own transport fleet, provides containers, keeps records in the BDO waste database (registration no. 000005600) and helps customers organise their waste management.

Its business is directly linked to the non-ferrous metals cycle: recovering copper and aluminium from cables, returning packaging aluminium for remelting, and passing on to licensed treatment plants catalysts containing platinum-group metals (waste codes 16 08 01–16 08 03) and batteries whose lead goes back into circulation. Waste electrical and electronic equipment is taken to the company’s collection point and then to partner treatment and recovery plants. As an IGMNiR member, IQ Recycling represents companies collecting and pre-processing non-ferrous scrap in Pomerania.
