About the company

Hercules Holding Sp. z o.o., headquartered in Warsaw (Al. Ujazdowskie 6A), is a holding company registered in the Polish National Court Register under KRS 0000667583; it was entered in the register on 13 March 2017. Its principal activity is that of a holding company, while its other registered activities include, among others, waste collection, recovery and disposal, wholesale trade, research and development, rental and real-estate services. The company gives 2017 as its year of foundation and describes itself as an investor combining technological innovation with a responsible approach to the environment and society, active in Europe and Africa.

Its activities cover investment in residential and commercial property and its modernisation and revitalisation, recycling, the organisation of raw-material recovery, the development of new technologies, and alternative-fuel projects – advanced biofuels, hydrogen, synthetic fuels and waste-derived fuels. The company offers support for investment projects: from feasibility studies and business plans, through applications for EU and national funding, to equity and mezzanine financing and the creation of joint ventures, for example for building recycling plants and biofuel production. In new technologies it cooperates with institutes of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, independent technologists and patent holders, and names the AGH University of Krakow, the Polish Academy of Sciences and universities of technology as its scientific partners.

In recycling, Hercules Holding buys spent automotive and industrial catalysts containing platinum-group metals (platinum, palladium, rhodium, iridium, ruthenium) and non-ferrous metals (nickel, molybdenum, cobalt), as well as electronic scrap in the form of printed circuit boards (PCBs), which it sends to refineries worldwide after preparation and composition analysis. The company is building the Hercules Holding Recovery Organisation – a cooperation network of scrapyards and metal buyers, processors of catalysts, electronics and industrial waste, tyre and oil recycling companies and universities – aimed at recovering precious and base metals using pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical processes. As an IGMNiR member, Hercules Holding represents companies organising the trade in and recovery of precious and non-ferrous metals from catalysts and electronic scrap.
