HEMARPOL Trade Sp. z o.o. Spółka Komandytowa
HEMARPOL Trade Sp. z o.o. Sp. k., headquartered in Katowice (ul. ks. mjr. Karola Woźniaka 6D), operates a recycling plant for waste containing metals and plastics, together with a warehouse in Kalety (ul. Fabryczna 2A), which is registered as the company’s branch. The company is registered in the Polish National Court Register under KRS 0000455304, and its principal activity is the recovery of sorted materials. The Hemarpol Group has been active since 1989; on a 16 ha site it employs over 300 people and processes around 95,000 t of waste a year.
The company specialises in recycling cables – copper, aluminium and telecommunications – and in processing Al/Cu radiators, ACSR conductor, power supplies, transformers, electric and combustion engines, alternators, starters, Zorba scrap and waste electrical and electronic equipment; it also accepts waste from end-of-life vehicle dismantling stations and trades in copper, aluminium, bronze, brass, zinc, lead and stainless steel scrap. Its machinery includes lines for shredding, screening and separating metals, for metal and plastics flotation and for plastics processing. Products include copper granules, aluminium granules after flotation, steel shred and PVC, PE/PP and PS/ABS/HIPS regranulates, while residues from cable processing are turned into road and construction infrastructure elements.
Hemarpol’s business is directly concerned with recovering non-ferrous metals – above all copper and aluminium – from end-of-life waste; it issues recycling confirmation documents (ZPR, DPR) and states that its processes follow circular-economy principles. Together with the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, the company carried out a project to develop a technology for recycling hard-to-process aluminium waste by plastic consolidation, and with support from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) it is expanding its plastics recycling plant in Kalety. Hemarpol is a member of, among others, the Bureau of International Recycling, the Polish Aluminium Association and the Chamber of Industry and Trade for Scrap Management. As an IGMNiR member, HEMARPOL represents cable recycling and non-ferrous scrap processing companies.
