Mostostal Zabrze S.A., headquartered in Gliwice (ul. Stanisława Dubois 16), is the parent company of the Mostostal Zabrze Group – an industrial group engaged in design, manufacturing, engineering, construction and assembly that has operated since 1945. The company is registered in the Polish National Court Register under KRS 0000049844, and its shares have been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 1994 (originally as Mostostal Zabrze – Holding S.A.). Since 2018, when its operating business was transferred to the subsidiary Mostostal Zabrze Realizacje Przemysłowe S.A., it has acted as owner-supervisor and shared-services centre; according to the register, its main activity is that of a holding company.
The group’s operations cover design (Mostostal Zabrze Biprohut S.A. – a design office serving the metallurgical, machinery, chemical and energy industries, among others), the fabrication and erection of steel structures and pipelines at workshops in Kędzierzyn-Koźle and Częstochowa (Mostostal Zabrze Realizacje Przemysłowe S.A., over 800 employees), electrical power installations, general and industrial construction, machine structures for crane and rail-vehicle manufacturers (over 95% of output exported) and equipment for the energy and chemical sectors. The group carries out projects in the chemical and petrochemical, metallurgical, energy and environmental protection sectors, with a substantial share of exports, mainly to Western Europe; since 2024 it has also included Polwax S.A.
The group gained its first experience in the metallurgical sector in the 1950s and, as it states, also carries out construction and assembly work for non-ferrous metal, aluminium and zinc smelters in Poland and abroad; the company history mentions the expansion of the aluminium smelter in Mosjoen, Norway, as well as the construction of the Waste-to-Energy Plant in Kraków. The group’s design office handles projects from concept and environmental applications to detailed design and supervision. As an IGMNiR member, Mostostal Zabrze represents contractors for industrial investment projects – design, steel structures and plant installation – for non-ferrous metallurgy, energy and environmental protection.
