StoneX Financial Europe GmbH, headquartered in Hamburg (Poststraße 20), is the European subsidiary of StoneX Group Inc. — a global financial services institution listed on NASDAQ (SNEX). Registered in Hamburg in 2001 (HRB 80844) and supervised by the German regulator BaFin, it specialises in commodities trading — metals in particular — and in arranging transactions between producers, dealers and industrial users of raw materials.
The group's history dates back to 1924, when Saul Stone founded a small trading business in Chicago that grew into Saul Stone & Co. and later — after merging with Farmers Commodities Corporation — the FCStone group. In 2009 FCStone merged with International Assets Holding Corporation (est. 1981) to form INTL FCStone, and in July 2020 the group adopted its current name, StoneX Group Inc. Today StoneX employs around 4,000 people in close to 70 offices and serves clients in more than 180 countries.
StoneX has been active on the London Metal Exchange since 2011, and StoneX Financial Ltd is a Category 1 Member of the LME — one of only nine brokerages entitled to trade in the open-outcry Ring (ring dealing). The group's metals teams cover aluminium, copper, zinc, lead, nickel and tin. The Hamburg office serves the European metals markets. The company joined IGMNiR on 12 June 2026.
