NPA Skawina Sp. z o.o., headquartered in Skawina (ul. Józefa Piłsudskiego 23), is a manufacturer of aluminium wire rod, wires and conductors, registered in the Polish National Court Register under KRS 0000983019; its main activity is the manufacture of products from aluminium and aluminium alloys. Its sole shareholder is Boryszew S.A., and the company operates within the Boryszew Group. The Skawina plant opened on 20 July 1954; the company Nowoczesne Produkty Aluminiowe was founded in 2001, became a branch of Boryszew S.A. in 2012 and, according to the company’s website, was transformed from a branch into NPA Skawina Sp. z o.o. in 2023.
The company describes itself as the leader in aluminium wire rod and overhead conductor production in Poland and reports a production capacity of 60,000 tonnes, more than 300 qualified employees and a presence in 51 countries. Its range includes 1xxx-series (EC Grade) aluminium wire rod in diameters from 7.6 to 30 mm, alloy wire rod (3xxx, 4xxx, 5xxx, 6xxx and 8xxx series, AlZr, Al59), wire rod for steel deoxidation, aluminium and lightning-protection wires, cable conductors, flexible conductors for the automotive industry, flat products and AAC, AAAC, ACSR, ACSR/TW and high-temperature AlZr TACSR overhead conductors, including low-sag and low-loss types. A new overhead conductor line was launched in 2025; the management system is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
NPA Skawina’s products go mainly to the energy, automotive and food industries, and alloy wire rod is used to make power conductors as well as for mechanical and welding applications. The company states that it reduces greenhouse gas emissions, manages energy, water and waste efficiently and uses raw materials responsibly; a rooftop photovoltaic installation operates at the plant, and in 2026 the company received an EcoVadis bronze medal (70/100 points, in the top 35% of the non-ferrous and precious metals manufacturing sector). As an IGMNiR member, NPA Skawina represents aluminium processing – the production of wire rod, wires and conductors for the power sector and industry.
