About the company

Bolmet Recycling sp. z o.o., headquartered in Wiechlice (ul. Przemysłowa 5, Szprotawa municipality), buys secondary raw materials, mainly zinc-bearing, and distributes the products obtained from processing them. The company is registered in the Polish National Court Register under KRS 0000665298 (since 2017) and states the production of lead, zinc and tin as its principal activity; its registered scope also includes copper production, casting of copper and copper alloys, and wholesale of metals, waste and scrap. The company’s sales office is located in Bolesław (ul. Wyzwolenia 1D).

The core product is secondary zinc – as standard with a minimum of 98.5% Zn, and for galvanising plants also at a purity of 99.995% Zn. The metal is supplied as small ingots of 13–14 kg (bundles of approx. 1,500 kg on EPAL pallets), ingots of 22–23 kg (bundles of approx. 500 kg) and blocks of 1,000 kg ±10%, each block being a separate melt. The range also includes primary materials: SHG zinc, refined lead, aluminium, and zinc and lead alloys. Deliveries are made in cooperation with specialised transport companies; goods can also be collected directly from the warehouse.

The company buys zinc scrap (mainly zinc sheet), hard zinc, zinc ash and dross, as well as zinc and lead. The material is sorted – which directly affects process efficiency, especially for scrap contaminated with lubricants or in the form of galvanised steel products – and then remelted, refined and rectified into a product suitable for reuse in industry. Customers include producers of copper alloys (brass), casting alloys and zinc white, and the product is also used for galvanising. As an IGMNiR member, Bolmet Recycling represents zinc recycling and trade in secondary zinc as a link in the non-ferrous metals cycle.
