The company’s history is closely linked to the non-ferrous metals industry: from rebuilding zinc and lead metallurgy, through the general development design for the New Copper Ore Deposit and the plants of the Legnica-Głogów Copper District (1962–1967), to acting as General Designer of the Pyrometallurgy Modernisation Programme at the Głogów copper smelter (2010–2016). In 2019–2023 BIPROMET built an arsenic and mercury removal installation for process gases at the Legnica copper smelter, reducing the concentration of both elements to 0.05 mg/Nm³; its track record also includes the Battery Scrap Processing Plant in Świętochłowice and an ingot-free Contirod copper rod mill for KGHM. As an IGMNiR member, BIPROMET represents design and construction capabilities for metallurgical and environmental installations serving the non-ferrous metals industry.
