## In brief

Amends the classification rules (inter alia multi-constituent substances), label format requirements, digital labelling, advertising and distance sales; the dates of application were postponed by Regulation (EU) 2025/2439.

## Key obligations

- from 1.07.2026: classification of substances containing more than one constituent according to the new rules (Art. 5(3) CLP, Art. 1(4) of Regulation 2024/2865)
- from 1.07.2026: label firmly affixed, legible and compliant with the format requirements (Art. 31(1) CLP, Art. 1(15)(a)–(b))
- option of digital labelling alongside physical labelling (Art. 34a CLP, Art. 1(17))
- from 1.01.2027: new information requirements for appointed bodies responsible for emergency health response (Art. 45 CLP, Art. 1(24)(b) and (d))
- from 1.01.2028: deadlines for updating labels, advertising and distance sales offers (Arts 30, 48, 48a CLP)
